Our Story

With a 30-years track record in shipping excellence, GTSI was the first and still is the only Indonesian LNG transport company. PT GTSI ensures maximum operational excellence through supervision of the construction of vessels and thorough management of all crew members and safety regulations. We also aim to be an integral player in the development of LNG in Indonesia.

2020

FSRU Jawa Satu, a Floating Storage, and Regasification Unit was handed over at the end of December 2020.

2018

FSRU Jawa Satu (170,000 cbm capacity) construction began . It was built in South Korea by Samsung Heavy Industries.

2016

PT GTSI takes over management of LNG Aquarius from MOL-Europe, and wins the ZERO ACCIDENT AWARD from PT Nusantara Regas for its management of the LNG Aquarius.

PT GTSI joins the consortium between Pertamina, Marubeni and Sojitz that wins the tender for the Java 1 FSRU project scheduled to begin operations in 2021.

2015

GTSI/HTK wins tender for LNG supply to the newly launched Benoa FRU. It is the first small scale LNG vessel in Indonesia serving the route between Bontang and Benoa.

2014

Humolco Trans Inc, wins the MOL award for Master and Chief Engineer of an LNG vessel.

2000

ST Surya Satsuma takes the sea under Humolco Trans Inc.

1999

Humolco Trans Inc.’s second managed vessel ST Dwiputra begins operations.

1996

ST Surya Aki, Humolco Trans Inc.’s third managed vessel, commences operations.

1994

Humolco Trans Inc.’s second managed vessel ST Dwiputra begins operations.

1992

ST Dwiputra, a 272 meters long vessel, begins construction by Mitsubishi Heavy Industry Ltd.

1990

ST Ekaputra begins operations under Humolco Trans Inc.

1987

Humolco Trans Inc. supervises the construction of its first vessel, ST Ekaputra, a 136.000 CBM vessel built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industry, Ltd.

1986

Establishment of Humolco Trans Inc, a new venture between PT Humpuss with Mitsui O.S.K Lines, Ltd
