A Brief History of Company

Established in 1986, Humolco is a subsidiary of PT. GTSI was developed from the shipping company PT Humpuss Intermoda Transportasi Tbk (PT. HIT Tbk) in partnership with Mitsui O.S.K Lines LTD to develop Indonesian LNG supply vessels and related services. We own, operate, man our vessels, and deliver exceptional performances.

The foundation of GTSI was initiated by PT Humpuss with the formation of an LNG shipping division following the establishment of Humolco Trans Inc. which is the joint venture company with Mitsui O.S.K. Lines. Since then, PT Humpuss Intermoda Transportasi was established in 1992, which operates LNG and oil tankers.

The HITS business group assessed that in order to support more simultaneous business growth, in 2013 it was decided to form a separate entity, namely the Company PT GTSI Internasional, which focuses on LNG Shipping business, developing a commercial logistics and infrastructure system for LNG with operational potential for domestic and international markets.

The implementation of the cabotage rule is in accordance with Regulation No. 17/2008 which stipulates that all Indonesian domestic shipments must use Indonesian-flagged vessels, which provides great growth opportunities for domestic shipping industry players. Since the beginning of the establishment of its business group, GTSI is committed to fostering good relations with various parties, especially with the Government and maritime authorities, vendors providing ship equipment and components, as well as charterers.
